There's a unique magic in returning to the place where your love story began, especially when it's time to capture those once-in-a-lifetime engagement portraits. For Ryan and Kara, their journey started on the beautiful campus of Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington. They met there, fell in love amidst the academic bustle, the shared late-night study sessions, and the easy camaraderie that university life fosters. As their connection deepened, every corner of the campus became imbued with special meaning – from the library where they'd steal glances across textbooks to the pathways they walked, dreaming of their future. As their couple’s photographer, I had the privilege of traveling from Snohomish to Tacoma to meet them, ready to document this significant chapter. The timing was perfect; the vibrant fall colors and classic brick textures of PLU provided an absolutely breathtaking backdrop. We revisited the very coffee shop where they had their first date, a place now steeped in sweet nostalgia.
