Jared M. Burns
SNOHOMISH SENIOR GRADS | Bold, Unique & epic
Your last year of high school, unique personality, and biggest transition captured in one personalized photography experience to remember.
Hey, let’s be honest: your kid’s senior year is a massive milestone. This moment is simply too big and too important to trust to a “few-hundred-buck-chuck” photographer.
Because we all know how that story ends:
The excitement quickly turns into a headache.
The process feels overwhelming and disorganized.
You get a link to a couple of hundred digital files that get a quick glance, a swipe, and are never seen again.
You’re left with absolutely nothing tangible to show for it.
You know there has to be a better way.
It’s time for a different experience. At Jared M. Burns Photography, we specialize in capturing the bold energy, unique personality, and raw authenticity of your senior’s final year. Having watched my own kids grow, I know how fast this transition happens. We provide a collaborative, stress-free environment where your graduate feels confident, and their true self takes center stage.
You handle the bittersweet countdown to graduation; let us carry the stress of documenting it. From custom styling to professional product design, we guide you through an effortless process that transforms this milestone into jaw-dropping art. These aren't just photos; they are heirloom pieces that honor their incredible journey and remind them exactly who they are and where they came from as they take on the world.
Where can we do our grad session?
From the historic brick alleyways of the city to the sweeping fields of the valley, the perfect backdrop for your senior’s portraits is right in our backyard. We customize every session location to reflect your graduate's unique energy—whether they want to celebrate on campus at Snohomish High or Glacier Peak, or venture further out into the stunning diversity of the Pacific Northwest.
We can design a grad session around many distinct local aesthetics, such as:
The Beauty of the Valley: We can chase the golden hour light through the sweeping fields and vibrant rows of flowers at Stocker Farms or Scatterd Seeds, or capture quieter, more organic moments along the trails of the Bob Heirman Wildlife Preserve.
The Energy of the River or Beaches: For a look that feels completely natural and effortless, we often utilize the quiet forests, nature settings, and hidden rocky beaches found along the Pilchuck River or the Puget Sound waterfront.
The Charm of the City: If they prefer a timeless, editorial edge, the vintage architectural character and rich, textured brickwork of Downtown Historic Snohomish offer the perfect backdrop.
As a Snohomish-based business that has served senior grads since 2007, we have countless recommendations to match any local vision.
Details & Offering
Most Grads book a 2-3 hour sitting—not too stressful, but full of variety:
We like to keep things simple: Sitting Fee + Product Credit = Epic Memories. Most grad parents invest between $2,000 and $10,000 to curate custom art and keepsakes. With our 'Any way you like it' approach, your investment includes all customizations and expert retouching—no hidden fees, just beautiful art. You only buy what you want and need for your home; it’s that simple. Oh, and yes, we know they live online and want to show their images to their friends, so you always get matching social media files of everything you order. Schedule your discovery call today to learn more.
But what if WE don’t love the images?
There is no risk to you
If you aren't delighted with any images enough to buy them, we haven’t done our job. We will refund your sitting fee and product credit in full. We carry all the risk so you can book with confidence!
How do we turn this into a grad experience?
What makes our Snohomish Grad experience different from others? It’s in the personalized details.
The Plan: It starts with a discovery call and a personalized planning session where we handle all the stress and take the time to learn about who your Snohomish or Glacier Peak grad is. The best part for parents, when they feel part of the collaborative process, they own the results.
The Day: A fun, guided session where you and your grad student just show up and enjoy the experience. We will laugh as we go and create magic together.
The Reveal: An in-person ordering session that feels like part of the celebration. You select the images you love and want to keep, and we handle every aspect of the design, editing, and production. We are with you to the end like your personal concierge. We won’t leave you hanging to figure out the hard part on your own.
As these images grow in value within your heart over the years, they transcend simple photography to become a vital part of your family’s emotional identity. We often say, “Legacy in every image.” Once you are on the other side of this experience, you will understand.
FIRST THINGS FIRST
Crafting the perfect grad experience starts with our simple 1-2-3 approach:
1. Get Personalized Clarity
Let’s connect so you get all the information up front that you would need to make the right fit decision for your upcoming graduate. We will be completely transparent and answer any questions you have about the experience, process, or product before getting started. Have a look at our Senior Grad Magazine now.
2. Design the Dream Session
This is the most important part of the process where we collaborate, dream, and set the stage for your success! Let us worry about the planning and all the difficult, moving pieces that go into it, like dates, locations, coordination, styling, wardrobe, personalities, interests, what to wear, preparations, and the best time of day. We know how to navigate a single piece of this journey and balance the style interests of both grads and parents. We’ve got this!
3. PROTECT and Charish the DAY
The session day is a milestone moment for your grad! Once the date is secured, all you need to do is come ready to have fun and capture epic memories. Years later, when you look back at the experience, you will still be able to return to all the feelings that live inside these images. Your job is to let us handle the work and stress so you can have fun. If you want hair styling and makeup, just ask, and we can provide that too.
Kind words from Parents of Snohomish Graduates
“Our family (and grad) couldn't be happier with Jared and the products he offers. His organization, communication, clear pricing, etc., is unlike any other photographer we've worked with, and our family will continue to use his services…”
- Lauren B. (Snohomish)
“Our Senior was resistant at first to taking pictures at all, but 10 minutes into the session, he was so relaxed he could have posed all day. Jared found so much variety its been a struggle to agree on what to display.”
- Heidi S. (Snohomish)

Frequently Asked Questions
When should I GET STARTED WITH THE PROCESS?
Most Snohomish area senior grads want to take full advantage of the beautiful weather and stunning locations we have in the summer. The later we are in the season, the faster the spots disappear. The key thing is to start the process as early as possible to get the best dates or locations and avoid the last-minute, end-of-summer rush.
How do I Start the Process?
Say “Hello!” Tell us a little about who you are. Share your goals. Ask any initial questions. If we seem like a great fit for each other, we will share the next steps on how to schedule your no-obligation, in-person consultation to begin planning your custom portrait experience. GET STARTED HERE >>
What if my grad doesn’t know what to do in portraits?
That’s okay! If your grad student isn’t sure how to pose or wonders what to do with their hands, it just means they are normal. Lucky for you, Jared is an expert photographer trained in posture and pose coaching and will guide your grad through every movement to ensure they feel comfortable. We’ll laugh and joke along the way so they feel natural and confident in every frame.
Can you create a custom album or design wall art?
Yes, this is where the experience with Jared really stands out. While most people are used to other photographers who only give a bunch of digital images worth a glance and a swipe on social media, Jared works with you to design wall art and handcrafted legacy heirloom items, like albums and more, that you will treasure for the rest of your life.
How is a full-service experience different from a digital-only experience?
Rather than leaving you to deal with a pile of digital files with little to no editing, full-service means we handle every detail from the initial planning to all the little details along the way, the master retouching, creation of personalized art, and the final delivery of your custom products. We act as your personal guide or concierge, helping you choose, design, and bring high-impact, custom portrait art to life in your home.
Will my graduate and I be able to share the images on social media?
Yes! Any images you purchase as a product, keepsake, print, archival master, artwork, or that go into an album design will also be included as matching, fully edited, social media-sized files, so you are free to share your proud moments with the world. These come as a bonus gift from us; there is no additional cost.
